How It WorksFor Server Staff

Emberworks

Emberworks is InfiniTea's built-in virtual economy system that lets communities create engagement through currency earning, spending, trading, and collecting. Members earn currency (Embers) through participation and can spend them in server stores or trade with other members.

How the Economy Works

Members accumulate Embers through configurable progression events:

  • Message activity: Earn currency for participating in conversations.
  • Voice participation: Earn currency for time spent in voice channels.
  • Event participation: Earn currency for joining server events or activities.
  • Leveling milestones: Receive bonus currency when reaching new levels.
  • Staff awards: Moderators can manually grant or deduct currency.

The economy is server-specific. Currency earned in one server does not transfer to another.

Staff Workflow

  1. Enable Emberworks in your server dashboard to activate the economy system.
  2. Choose progression sources: Select which activities generate currency and configure earning rates for each.
  3. Configure the store: Enable the server store and curate which items are available for purchase. Items can be cosmetic roles, custom perks, or virtual collectibles.
  4. Enable social features: Optionally allow trading between members and gifting. Only enable these if your moderation team can handle potential disputes.
  5. Set limits: Configure daily earning caps and transaction limits to prevent economy exploitation.

Command Operations

Members interact with Emberworks through slash commands:

  • /wallet or /bal or /balance — View current Ember balance and recent transactions.
  • /emberworks — Access the full economy dashboard including store, inventory, and leaderboard.
  • /trade — Initiate a trade with another member (if enabled).
  • /gift — Send Embers to another member (if enabled).

Operational Risks

  • Inflation: Enabling too many progression sources or setting earning rates too high can devalue currency quickly. Start conservative and increase rates gradually.
  • Store catalog drift: If global item availability changes, your store may reference items that are no longer available. Review periodically.
  • Economy exploitation: Members may attempt to farm currency through alt accounts or automated activity. Monitor unusual earning patterns.
